It doesn't look like most of the chassis is within a few millimetres of level, but there's a definite crease running through the front end.
I reckon I'll flip it over, weight 3/4 of the chassis down and jack up the bit that's bent. Once there's some force applied, I'll heat up the bent bits and hopefully it'll ease back into roughly the right shape.
If that doesn't work, I'll take some of

It's all about the right hammer. I have one of these, and it also fixes the things hitting doesn't fix:

So...question about your Spit.
Modern electrics?
Please say yes.

At least you found yours before final assembly. I had a choice of 2 '78 MGB's. I chose the one that had absolutely no rust. I did not find out the tweak until I fitted the hood and front bumper and trunk lid (bonnett and boot) to those proper Anglophiles.

All of the original electrics still work 30 years later, so I think I'll be alright. To be honest, there's not much in it. Feed to bulbs, starter and ignition. That's pretty much it.
I'll insulate it better so it will be less likely to wear through and short out on the bodywork, and clean up/replace the connectors.

Bummer. Did you get it sorted, and if so how?

No. Gonna have to live with it until it requires some significant maintenance and then try to get it straightened.
